Samantha over at erincondren.com was sweet enough to send me a package of some of their new products! The start of a New Year is a perfect opportunity to get organized and figure out a plan for sticking to all of your New Year’s resolutions. Keeping track of your finances and your health might tie to some of those resolutions you have for 2017 and EC has some great accessories to help with that!
One of the things I received is the New You Bundle which is a great little bundle (at a great value!) that can help you achieve those goals. Inside this bundle there’s a Budget Book (perfect for Dave Ramsey fans) to help you keep your finances in check for the whole year. For your health and wellness you get a Meal Planning Dashboard which is great to clip in the middle of your weekly spread so you can plan out your meals based on your schedule and keep a grocery list on the reverse side. You also get a Wellness Dashboard, which is a full-size weekly log that helps you track your daily meals, water intake, snacks, and activity. This a great way to keep yourself accountable every week! This bundle ensures you’ll have everything you need by also including a set of wet erase markers (in their new sorbet colors!) and a pack of stay well-kept wipes – which are also great for cleaning your glasses or your phone, I keep them in my purse.
One of my favorite EC products to use throughout the year is their monthly sticker book. This little book includes a full page sheet of stickers for each month of the year and they’re designed to match the Erin Condren Life Planner. Each month is carefully crafted to cover any holidays and are printed on really nice paper! I really like how each month is themed and designed with foil accents. The new dual-tip markers write great on these stickers (and in the EC planners). I’e owned every set of EC markers and these are my favorite – I also really LOVE the hard case that they come in!
Now, I saved the very best for very last – the new Academic Planner! I may or may not have accidentally yelled at my desk when Samantha emailed me that she was sending me one. I absolutely LOVE school supplies and wish I was still a student so I could use this beauty! I am an Adjunct Professor and am determined to find a way to use this for the class I’m teaching this semester. The Academic Planners have 6 months worth of monthly and weekly pages to help you keep track of projects and assignments. They’re also perfect bound so that they’re slim for your backpack or tote but durable to withstand the semester’s worth of abuse. Each planner includes a set of daily dot stickers for you to mark the days of the month (this way you can start any month you’d like!). The monthly view is a great way to see at a high-level what you have coming up – exams, presentations, papers, etc.
After the monthly two-page spread, you have pages to track any major projects or exams for that month. You can include high-level details, course information, important dates, and mark it once it’s complete.
Next you have weekly spreads to track all of your assignments, readings, etc. The dual-tip pens are a great way to color coordinate either by assignment type or class. You can also add in due dates and mark them off once they’re complete. I love the subtle watercolor designs at the top of each page. Also, how cute is that font?!
At the very back of the planner, there are 39 perforated notes pages. You can keep more details on your projects, assignments, groups, etc. There’s also a sheet of flag stickers so you can mark tests, papers, study groups, and more!
I wish this academic planner had existed when I was still in college because I love the breakdown of projects/exams and then the weekly layout. When you’re juggling a full-time job and a full-time course load every little bit helps to stay organized. If I can’t figure out a way to make this work for the course I’m teaching I might be nice and gift it to my cousin who’s a freshman this year.
So, what are your thoughts on the new Academic Planners? Any tips on how I could make this work from a teacher standpoint? Let me know in the comments! If you’re new to Erin Condren you can save $10 off your first order by signing up here!
